Getting the size right
Measure once, and it fits.
Two measurements decide it. Chest girth — right around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Neck — where the collar normally sits. You should be able to slide two fingers under any strap once it is on.

Between sizes? Size up. It is the more comfortable error, and the straps take up the slack. If your dog is still growing, measure again before ordering rather than allowing room — a harness that is too loose can be slipped.

How do the two attachment points work?
The front ring sits on the chest and redirects a pull sideways, which stops pulling from working. The back ring sits between the shoulders for relaxed walking. Move the leash between them in seconds — the harness stays on.
Will it fit my dog?
Sizes S through XL cover most breeds from Border Collies to German Shepherds. Measure chest girth and neck, and check them against our size guide. If your dog falls between two sizes, choose the larger.
How quickly does it go on and off?
Under ten seconds. The quick-release buckles are designed to work with cold or muddy hands, which is when it usually matters.
How long does delivery take?
We ship from our US warehouse. Orders are dispatched within 24–48 hours, and delivery typically takes 9–12 days with tracking emailed as soon as it is on its way. Shipping is free on every order.
What if it is not right?
Return any unused item within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or an exchange. If the size is wrong, email us and we will sort the swap.
How do I look after it?
Wipe or hand wash cold with a mild detergent, then air dry — no tumble drying. And store it somewhere your dog cannot reach it; nylon straps are irresistible to a bored puppy.

Getting the right fit
A properly fitted harness distributes pressure evenly and prevents escape. Here's how to measure and choose the right size for your dog.
Measuring for harnesses
Chest girth: Measure around the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs
Neck girth: Measure around the base of the neck where a collar would sit
Back length: Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail
No tape measure? Use a piece of string or a phone charging cable, pinch where it meets, then hold it against any ruler.

If your dog is between two sizes
Measure carefully and go by the chart rather than by your dog's weight or breed — build varies far more than either. If your measurements fall between two sizes, email us at support@fourpawers.com with the numbers and we'll tell you which to order. We'd rather spend two minutes on that than have you guess.
Collar included in the set (important)
This is a 3‑piece set (harness + leash + collar).
Set sizing note: If you select Harness size S, the collar included in the set is Collar size M. (For M/L/XL sets, the collar matches the harness size.)
Collar sizing
Measure your dog's neck where the collar sits. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck.
Fit check
After fitting, check that:
The harness sits snug but doesn't restrict movement
You can fit two fingers under all straps
The chest strap sits behind the front legs, not on the shoulders
Your dog can move freely without chafing
If it feels loose enough that your dog could back out of it, it is too big — email us and we'll sort a swap.

Materials & care
The harness is made from 1050D nylon with reinforced stitching for durability on trail and training walks. Contact points are padded for comfort, and the inner lining is breathable mesh to help reduce heat build‑up.
Care: Hand wash cold with mild detergent. Air dry. Do not tumble dry.
I had ordered two , I have a 10 yr old Rotti mix and a 3 yr old possibly Hound & Lab mix . The younger dog was just impossible to walk , literally hurt my arms and shoulders . He would pull and pull and pull . It was exhausting. Waking “ Tucker “ was my least favorite thing to do . The first harness arrived and changed my life , from the very first walk it improved. Then he ate the straps ugh !! I was back to being dragged instead of walking . I had settled that this would be my life until one of us passed . Then out of the blue Bart called to see how it was going ? I told him how well it worked but he ate the straps ugh Without being prompted he said no worries I’ll send you a new one !! I was elated, I could not believe what I was hearing And that’s Exactly what he did . You can’t beat the customer service they provide. And yes it really works !! From the second I put it on him . Today i fitted the new black service vice to my veteran service dog. Great fit . Like the study metal buckles and that the fitting straps are secured by both a clip and heavy duty velcro. Handle on the harness along with the extra under chest support holds the vest with no worry of slipping to one side or the other. Also provides functional support. The collar and leash are high quality as well. Wish i would have ordered the extra pouches. The leash has an extra handler loop handle down where it connects to the dog. This is great!! It provides a comfortable handle to keep the dog closer . Busy areas, elevators, transportation (bus, train , subway, etc. Ordered new patches for this vest which should be here within the week. Thank you! !
XL is a bit big for a 65lb dog, but nice.

These things are larger than they appear. Mine is too loose on my husky, although they did send me a video of how to properly adjust it, its still to big. It'll cost too much to send back.
